You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, senior leaders, program teams, and subject matter experts to create clear, engaging, executive-ready communications that drive alignment, support business rhythms, and improve organizational clarity during periods of transformation and change.

You will be responsible for developing high-impact content across multiple channels, including executive updates, newsletters, presentations, internal sites, awareness campaigns, leadership materials, and recurring business communications. This role requires someone who can operate independently in a fast-paced environment, translate complex business or technical concepts into simple messaging, and deliver polished, high-quality work on tight timelines.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute communication plans that support transformation initiatives, business priorities, and organizational programs.

Create compelling content for multiple internal channels, including newsletters, executive updates, presentations, internal sites, email communications, awareness campaigns, and leadership materials.

Build executive-ready presentations, summaries, status updates, year-end reviews, and leadership briefing materials.

Translate complex technical, operational, or transformation-related information into clear, business-friendly messaging for broad and executive audiences.

Partner with program managers, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and subject matter experts to gather inputs, align messaging, and ensure communications are accurate and impactful.

Manage recurring communication programs such as monthly updates, organizational newsletters, awareness campaigns, knowledge-sharing sessions, demos, and employee engagement communications.

Own workback schedules, deadlines, stakeholder reviews, and content approval processes to ensure timely delivery.

Build, maintain, and optimize internal digital communication spaces to improve content discoverability and employee engagement.

Create structured navigation, topic-based content sections, and user-friendly layouts for internal communication platforms.

Ensure messaging is consistent across email, internal sites, collaboration tools, employee engagement platforms, and other enterprise communication channels.

Provide communications guidance to project teams on how to effectively socialize initiatives and increase awareness.

Use modern productivity, collaboration, and AI-enabled tools to streamline content creation, reporting, and communication workflows.

Continuously improve communication processes, templates, rhythms, and overall execution quality.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in communications, program management, executive communications, marketing communications, internal communications, or a related field.

10+ years of experience creating executive-level communications, leadership materials, business updates, presentations, and stakeholder-facing content.

10+ years of experience managing programs, workstreams, communication plans, content calendars, stakeholder inputs, timelines, and deliverables.

Strong experience interfacing with senior leaders and developing materials for executive audiences.

Proven ability to create polished, visually engaging presentation decks and leadership-ready storytelling assets.

Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and messaging skills with excellent attention to detail.

Experience translating complex business, technical, or transformation topics into clear and engaging communications.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and communication channels simultaneously.

Fluency with Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and AI-enabled productivity tools such as Copilot or similar platforms.

Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional enterprise environment.

Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and quickly ramp up with minimal direction.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent training preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting senior executives, executive offices, leadership teams, or large-scale business rhythm communications.

Prior experience in a large technology, cloud, enterprise software, supply chain, procurement, operations, or transformation-focused organization.

Experience creating executive presentations, leadership briefings, transformation updates, organizational reports, and year-end business reviews.

Experience supporting employee engagement, employee experience, organizational awareness, or internal change communications.

Experience building or maintaining internal communication sites, SharePoint pages, content hubs, or digital employee experience platforms.

Familiarity with enterprise communication platforms such as Viva, Amplify, internal newsletters, collaboration tools, and email campaign tools.

Experience using generative AI or automation tools to improve content development, synthesis, reporting, or communications efficiency.

Graphic design, content layout, or visual storytelling experience.

Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams and adapt messaging for different audience levels.

  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
