The Senior CRA Analyst is a key role within the CRA Governance team. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. Responsibilities of the Senior CRA Analyst include maintaining large data sets and providing actionable insights for executives and line of business partners to support strong CRA performance.

  • Build various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning and data visualisation techniques to develop, maintain, and enhance CRA scorecards for the Lending, Investment, and Services Tests
  • Develop reports that allow the audience to quickly understand CRA results and recommendations, so they act upon them and make data driven decisions which includes closing any line of business gaps to achieve CRA goals
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for CRA action planning
  • Collaborate with business partners to prioritize requests/needs
  • Provide quantitative analysis and insights to support CRA performance context including extracting data from well known public data sources to help show the impact being made in low-to moderate-income communities
  • Maintain current record of all branches and ATMs and changes to the service network
  • Provide reporting and analysis on alternative delivery systems (ADS) that shows the usage of such systems by low-and moderate-income audiences
  • Assist with CRA examination preparation which includes creating tables for CRA small business and HMDA loan data
  • Manage relationship with external vendor on analytics solutions for streamlining analysis
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
  • Knowledge of external data sources including government data bases
  • Experience using CRA Wiz SaaS software a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of database management including Access, SQL, JSON
  • Experience working on a CRA exam helpful
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaboration and team skills
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary:

$74,000.00 - $138,000.00

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
