This client-facing role will lead complex healthcare operations and transformation workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, and develop high-quality products and contract deliverables that help improve Veterans' access to timely, coordinated community care. The Senior Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to client and Tria leadership, applying project management, process improvement, data analysis, and executive communication skills to solve operational challenges, manage risk, and advance program priorities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of consulting, program/project management, or healthcare operations experience, including leadership of complex workstreams in a federal or highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare operations in one or more areas such as referrals and authorizations, care coordination, provider network operations, claims/payment, utilization management, or clinical integration.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage work plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and contract deliverables.
  • Excellent executive communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to produce decision-ready products under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint; ability to analyze data and communicate actionable insights.

Qualifications:

  • Direct experience supporting VA, VHA, the Office of Integrated Veteran Care, the Veteran Community Care Program, Community Care Network operations, or another federal health program.
  • Familiarity with Community Care workflows and technologies such as HSRM, EHR/Oracle Health, Power BI, Power Platform, or related referral, authorization, care coordination, and reporting tools.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, CSM, or comparable professional certification.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience with change management, training, communications, executive governance, implementation readiness, or healthcare payer/provider operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior client-facing advisor to Tria and VA/VHA stakeholders, translating Veteran Community Care priorities into clear work plans, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead complex workstreams across Community Care operations, including referral and authorization, care coordination, provider network management, claims/payment, clinical integration, and implementation readiness.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action items; provide concise status reporting and timely escalation.
  • Conduct current-state and future-state assessments, process mapping, requirements analysis, root-cause analysis, and performance improvement to recommend practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Produce executive briefings, governance materials, standard operating procedures, playbooks, dashboards, decision papers, and contract deliverables with high quality and on-time completion.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, governance forums, and working sessions across federal leaders, clinicians, business owners, technical teams, field stakeholders, and contractor partners.
  • Lead and mentor consultants; assign work, review deliverables, maintain quality standards, and promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support Tria program and account leadership with resource planning, quality and risk management, performance reporting, client relationship management, and growth activities while safeguarding sensitive Veteran, PII, and PHI data.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
