Job Summary

The Senior Consultant, Water Asset Management will play a pivotal role in delivering TYLin’s Advisory services to public water and wastewater utilities. This position focuses on implementing asset management systems (such as CMMS), supporting capital improvement planning (CIP), and helping utilities strengthen their asset data and decision-making capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical execution skills with practical field experience and a strategic understanding of how data, process, and technology drive value for utilities. This position reports to the Lead Consultant for Water Asset Management, and plays a key role in mentoring and developing TYLin’s growing team of asset management professionals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Lead and oversee implementation and configuration of CMMS platforms (e.g., Cityworks, Infor, Maximo) and ensure successful adoption by client teams.
  • Conduct asset inventories, condition assessments, and risk-based prioritization to inform capital planning and investment decisions.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate asset data collection, validation, and integration with GIS and other systems of record.
  • Contribute to TYLin’s asset management playbooks, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and excellence in delivery.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience implementing asset management, CMMS, or capital improvement programs for public and/or private utilities.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting CMMS implementation, asset inventories, and similar.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS integration, asset data standards, and work management processes.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.


 

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of 117,300 - $175,900 annually for this position and local market.
