ABOUT RETELL AI

Retell AI is using first principles to reimagine the call center with cutting-edge voice AI.

Thousands of companies now utilize Retell’s AI voice agents to handle sales, support, and logistics calls that once required large teams of human agents. Backed by Y Combinator, Alt Capital, and other leading investors, we have scaled to $80M ARR with a team of 50 people, up from $5M at the start of 2025.

Our vision for 2026 is to build a modern CX platform where entire contact centers are powered by AI. Instead of basic automation that needs constant human tuning, we’re creating intelligent AI “workers” that can act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers, continuously executing, monitoring, and improving customer interactions.

We’re growing quickly and looking for ambitious builders who want to tackle hard technical problems, move fast, and have real impact at one of the fastest-growing voice AI startups.

Let’s build the future together.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Retell AI is the voice AI platform for enterprise contact centers. We work with customers like CVS/Aetna, American Airlines, Lenovo, and Grab, and we have more customer stories than we can tell.

We are hiring a Senior Content Marketing Manager to own how those stories get told. You will interview customers like a reporter, find the angle a marketer would miss, and produce case studies and strategic blogs that people actually read and sales actually sends.

This is a high-ownership craft role. You report to the CEO and work closely with the founding team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

This hire owns customer storytelling, case studies, and strategic editorial at Retell. Company voice only. Reports to the CEO. Programmatic SEO is explicitly NOT in this role (owned by SEO/AEO team).

Own Retell’s customer storytelling

  • Find, interview, and write stories from Retell’s most strategic customers.

  • Turn customer outcomes into compelling case studies, customer stories, video briefs, sales-friendly narratives, and social excerpts.

  • Build strong relationships with customer champions, sales, and customer success so Retell always has a pipeline of stories worth telling.

Write strategic editorial content

  • Write sharp essays, industry POVs, benchmark narratives, founder-led posts, and thought-leadership pieces that help define the voice AI category.

  • Translate complex topics like contact center automation, AI agents, latency, evaluation, containment, and enterprise deployment into stories buyers actually want to read.

  • Bring a reporter’s eye to Retell’s market: find the angle, write the hook, and make the piece useful from the first paragraph.

Social Storytelling

  • Bring a reporter’s eye to Retell’s company channels.

  • You’ll spot the angles inside customer wins, product breakthroughs, company milestones, team rituals, event moments, and the way we build, work, and play. You’ll turn those moments into sharp social posts that keep the Retell story alive and make the company feel worth following.

Shape Retell’s website storytelling

  • Write and refine website narratives across homepage sections, product pages, use-case pages, industry pages, customer pages, and campaign landing pages.

  • Partner with PMM, design, and web to turn positioning into clear, memorable website copy.

  • Make Retell’s site feel less like generic SaaS marketing and more like the clearest explanation of where enterprise voice AI is going.

Own Retell’s editorial quality bar

  • Maintain a high bar for clarity, taste, structure, and originality across customer stories, blogs, website copy, newsletters, and social content.

  • Edit work from internal contributors so it sounds clear, credible, and human.

  • Keep Retell’s content out of corporate-speak and closer to how great reporters, operators, and founders explain ideas.

Turn customer conversations into messaging insight

  • Use interviews and customer calls to surface language, objections, use cases, and proof points that should influence Retell’s broader messaging.

  • Feed those insights back to PMM, sales, customer success, and leadership.

  • Help Retell’s narrative stay grounded in what customers actually say, not what marketers wish they said.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must have:

  • 3-7 years in content marketing, editorial, or journalism, including B2B SaaS or tech experience

  • A portfolio of published work with range: customer stories, essays, launch content

  • Proven end-to-end ownership of case studies or customer stories

  • Comfortable with technical products

  • Reporter instincts and editorial craft

Nice to have:

  • Newsroom or tech media background

  • Video fluency: can brief an agency shoot and film a scrappy walkthrough yourself

  • Experience with support, CX, or post-sales audiences

  • Startup experience, Series A through C

HOW WE EVALUATE

We care less about checkboxes and more about:

  • Whether your writing earns attention or fills a calendar

  • Whether customers would say yes to a second interview with you

  • Whether sales would actually send what you write

  • Whether you find the story everyone else missed

YOU MIGHT THRIVE IF
  • You have 3-7 years in content marketing, editorial, or journalism, including B2B SaaS or tech experience

  • You trained as a journalist, or write like one: fresh angles, strong ledes, zero corporate speak

  • You have owned customer stories end-to-end, not just polished someone else's interview notes

  • You can talk to an engineer about latency and a VP of CX about containment rates in the same afternoon

  • You ship weekly without anyone checking in

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
