Overview:

Walker Sands is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our growing Creative team in Seattle. This hybrid role is a key creative leadership position for someone who is passionate about developing campaign and brand concepts, refining creative output and mentoring emerging writers. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to shape compelling narratives and big ideas for B2B brands that challenge expectations and deliver results.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll work closely with creative directors, designers, strategists and other specialists across PR, digital and social media to craft standout campaigns and brand stories that move audiences. You’ll also help uphold high creative standards, offer constructive feedback and nurture copywriting talent within the team.

Craft
  • Write and refine brand messaging frameworks, headlines, taglines, scripts, and long-form content that are clear, consistent, and compelling.
  • Contribute to a variety of writing projects by drafting and/or editing copy for paid advertisements, social media posts, and other marketing materials.
  • Develop campaign and brand concepts that are strategically sound, audience-aware and creatively fresh.
  • Partner with creative directors, designers and strategists to bring integrated marketing campaigns to life across channels.
  • Review creative deliverables for tone, clarity, accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Ensure messaging is aligned with brand positioning, creative strategy, and channel best practices.
  • Present work confidently to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating creative rationale and guiding feedback conversations.
Collaboration
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
    Stay informed on industry trends, content innovations, and voice and tone evolutions across sectors.
  • Work closely with project managers and account teams to meet deadlines and ensure smooth execution.
Mentorship + Leadership
  • Support and guide junior and mid-level copywriters through thoughtful feedback, collaborative brainstorming and regular check-ins.
  • Lead by example in upholding best practices for writing, editing and creative collaboration.
  • Participate in and help facilitate weekly creative reviews, ensuring work meets both strategic objectives and creative excellence.
  • Contribute to shaping a team culture rooted in openness, respect, inclusion and high standards.
About You
  • You have a passion for storytelling and understand how great writing can move a brand forward.
  • You bring 4–6 years of experience as a copywriter in an agency or in-house creative team.
  • You’re comfortable working across formats — from campaign concepts and digital ads to websites, video scripts and branded content.
  • You have strong presentation skills and can clearly explain and defend your ideas.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring others to grow and improve.
  • You approach feedback as a tool for improvement — for yourself and others.
  • You balance big-picture thinking with attention to nuance, voice and detail.
  • You’re a self-starter who’s organized, reliable and proactive in pushing ideas forward
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience naming products or brands
  • B2B writing experience or a demonstrated ability to make technical subject matter engaging
  • An interest in creative strategy and campaign planning

Compensation & Benefits:

  • We strive for salary range transparency in our hiring process. This is a major step towards not only complying with regulations where required, but also to make sure pay equity and DEI are top of mind during the hiring process. Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a bonus based on company performance, as well as benefits. Below is the starting salary for this role:
  • Starting Salary: $85,300 - $88,825 a year
    • Placement on the salary scale will be determined by various factors, such as, but not limited to, relevant qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, education, business or organizational requirements and internal equity.
    • Starting salaries are not inclusive of a full range of compensation for this role and are instead meant to reflect the expected beginning salary for a new hire. Merit-based increases can be earned after time in role.
