What you'll do:
Grasshopper Bank is seeking a highly motivated Senior CRA Analyst to take ownership of the day-to-day execution and administration of the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Program. In this role, you will apply your strong technical knowledge of CRA regulations to lead performance monitoring, manage data integrity, and coordinate regulatory reporting to ensure our digital commercial banking platform remains examination-ready.
As Grasshopper Bank actively prepares for and pursues a formal CRA Strategic Plan, this position will play a key role in preparing data baselines and establishing the tracking dashboards to monitor our progress against strategic goals.
In a shifting regulatory landscape, you will be expected to maintain up-to-date, forward-looking knowledge of the CRA environment, interagency regulatory updates, and modernizing rule changes.
Operating as a digital-first commercial bank, Grasshopper’s community development and lending initiatives focus strictly on the business and innovation economies. You will work cross-functionally with commercial underwriting, SBA lending, and treasury teams to ensure our commercial loans, SBA 7(a) and 504 originations, and qualified investments are accurately tracked, validated, and documented.
What You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end data collection, geocoding, and validation processes for commercial and Community Development (CD) loans, ensuring high-quality, audit-ready data.
  • Independently review, evaluate, and document qualified Community Development (CD) loans, investments, and service activities submitted by various business lines
  • Maintain the Bank’s CRA Public File and coordinate the compilation, scrubbing, and timely submission of annual small business loan registers under regulatory standards
  • Maintain records of the Bank’s qualified donations, sponsorships, and volunteer service hours targeting small business technical assistance and economic development
  • Lead the compilation of historical performance data, peer analyses, and baseline metrics to support the drafting, regulatory submission, and ongoing tracking of the Bank’s CRA Strategic Plan
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards to monitor Grasshopper’s progress against designated CRA Strategic Plan targets, proactively flagging areas of opportunity or risk
  • Actively track, analyze, and interpret the evolving CRA regulatory landscape, assessing the impact of new interagency modernization rules and advising on necessary adjustments to bank processes
  • Gather documentation, organizing technical request lists, and preparing data files for internal audits and OCC regulatory examinations

What you need:
  • 3–5 years of direct experience in CRA compliance, data analysis, or commercial loan compliance within a regulated financial institution
  • Advanced skills working with large datasets, geocoding tools, and reporting software to synthesize complex information into actionable compliance insights
  • Strong, up-to-date understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act, technical reporting requirements for small business loans, and upcoming regulatory modernization changes
  • Experience leveraging AI to document and package community development activities
  • Solid understanding of commercial loan files, SBA loan structures (7(a) and 504), and experience utilizing commercial loan systems (such as nCino)
  • Proven ability to manage data compliance projects independently, coordinate multi-departmental requests, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, public policy, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CRCM) are a plus
