As a Senior Data Analyst for E&I Affordability, you will be in a unique position to assist a growing business proactively plan, react to new developments, and implement improvements across multiple departments. Your work will involve looking at operational performance, business efficiencies, and uncovering medical cost drivers. You will participate in scrum teams as a business expert and help QA technology projects. You will have a solid understanding of medical claims and unit cost. You will investigate key business problems in several functional areas and provide leadership with quantitative analyses of healthcare cost and utilization data. You will analyze and uncover drivers of trends impacting cost and operations. You will analyze and interpret data from various sources, identify appropriate measurement methodologies, design reports, and work with technical, operational, and payment teams to drive performance. Your analyses will be used to create viable, real - world solutions in a complex health care landscape.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis designed to identify root causes and produce recommendations
- Communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally to solve complex business problems while negotiating multiple daily priorities
- Collaborate with leaders of strategic initiatives to drive analytic information into business actions
- Gather and document requirements from the client/business while focused on process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
- QA/analysis of large data sets used for reporting and QA/analysis of subsequent deliverables
- Develop comprehensive understanding of programs being measured
- Predict emerging business needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them
- Working with relational databases, database structures and SQL queries on a daily basis

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of data analytics experience
- 3+ years of experience using SQL query techniques to access relational databases
- 1+ years of experience using Python, R or other programming languages
- Experience in prioritizing work on multiple complex assignments with ongoing deadlines
- Experience working in an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment or multiple source data warehouse
- Experience communicating ideas clearly and concisely in writing and verbally to individuals and groups
- Willingness to adapt to a continuously changing environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Power BI development and data visualization techniques
- Healthcare provider contracting analysis and/or understanding of common reimbursement methods used for commercial medical insurance payments
