Since 2007, Simpluris has administered over 9 thousand matters and distributed over $8 billion in funds. From class action settlements to corporate remediation, our nationwide team handles even the most complex matters with accuracy and transparency. Regardless of scale, Simpluris’ project management experts deliver legal administration services with speed, precision, and accountability.

About the Role

You'll own the critical data analysis, cleaning, and validation processes that support Simpluris' operational systems, working with transactional and case-related datasets to ensure data quality before upload into internal systems. Reporting to the data operations team, you'll collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and implement process improvements. This role is essential as we continue scaling our data operations to handle increasingly complex client matters.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, clean, validate, and transform client-provided data from diverse sources and formats before system upload
  • Execute SQL queries and Python scripts to process, reconcile, and validate large transactional datasets
  • Investigate data quality issues, exceptions, and inconsistencies to present findings to project managers for client resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data-related issues and ensure accuracy
  • Review project manager requests to determine data processing requirements and deliver processed datasets
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience as a data analyst working with structured datasets, particularly large record-based or transactional data
  • Proficiency in Python (preferably pandas) for data cleaning, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, joining, filtering, aggregation, and validation
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve data quality issues including duplicates, missing values, and record inconsistencies

Bonus Points

  • Experience with large transactional datasets involving payments, claims, account activity, or communications
  • Background in class action administration, legal administration, settlement administration, or claims processing
  • Familiarity with securities-related data such as transactions, holdings, trades, or loss calculations

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
