NVIDIA is widely recognized as one of the most desirable employers, with some of the most versatile people in the world working for us. If you're passionate about shaping data architecture, aligning partner needs, and building scalable systems that power insight and action, we invite you to join our DGX Cloud team.

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect & Analytics Lead to own the design, direction, and execution of the data foundation that supports NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU infrastructure. This role spans data engineering, technical product management, and analytics enablement — ensuring our fleet health and operational insights are not only accurate and timely, but truly actionable.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Architect and evolve the data warehouse and modeling layer that serves DGX Cloud’s operational, business, and engineering team members.

  • Design scalable data pipelines and transformation layers (ELT) that power real-time and batch insights across our telemetry and infrastructure systems.

  • Partner with operations, finance, and product teams to define the most critical metrics, KPIs, and reporting needs — and translate those into robust technical implementations.

  • Be responsible for the technical roadmap and governance of our data platform, ensuring performance, maintainability, and clarity as the business evolves.

  • Lead the tooling strategy and implementation for ingestion (Fivetran, Kafka), transformation (dbt, Spark), warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery), and visualization (Looker, Superset).

  • Build and maintain the semantic and query layers (e.g., dbt, Looker models, GraphQL APIs) that abstract complex systems into intuitive, self-serve access.

  • Define and uphold standards around data quality, lineage, access control, and freshness, including automated validation and observability.

  • Mentor engineers and analysts on data standard methodologies, encouraging a culture of data literacy and shared responsibility.

What We Need To See:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in data engineering, analytics infrastructure, or data architecture. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Proven ownership of a production-grade data warehouse and reporting ecosystem, including schema design, stakeholder engagement, and long-term evolution.

  • Deep proficiency in SQL and strong coding ability in either Golang or Python — you can build robust services, not just write scripts. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React or Next.js.

  • Expertise with modern data stacks: dbt, Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Kafka, etc.

  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering reporting systems using tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or Superset.

  • Experience integrating and transforming complex datasets from diverse sources (e.g., telemetry, business systems, operational tools).

  • Demonstrated success building multi-functional relationships with engineering, operations, product, and finance teams.

  • A product approach: ability to prioritize, manage trade-offs, and deliver value incrementally. Strong communication and documentation skills — you can explain trade-offs to a VP and walk an engineer through a model design.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Led or been the first hire building a central data platform from scratch at a fast-scaling organization.

  • Tackled real-time streaming systems and understand the challenges of state, late data, and schema evolution.

  • Established data governance, contracts, and validation frameworks across teams. You’ve implemented semantic modeling layers that enabled self-service BI and analytics at scale.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
