🚨 Please Read Before Applying 🚨

To be considered, you must include a portfolio link showcasing Figma files or case studies from eCommerce, DTC, or subscription-based brands. We’re specifically looking for designers with experience in Shopify or similar performance-driven environments. Applications without relevant examples will not be reviewed.

Freebird is a fast-growing $100M+ personal care brand on a mission to simplify routines and create products that empower confidence. We operate in a collaborative, fast-paced environment driven by experimentation, data, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

We are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer / Digital Product Designer to join our e-commerce digital product team. This role is key to optimizing and enhancing our website's performance by improving the user experience, building scalable design systems, and driving experimentation to support customer acquisition and retention growth.

What You’ll Do

As a UX/UI Designer at Freebird, you will:

  • Design for Experimentation:
    • Create and iterate on A/B test concepts, landing pages, and funnel optimizations to improve key KPIs like conversion rates (CVR), average order value (AOV), and retention.
    • Collaborate closely with CRO strategists, developers, and marketers to test and refine designs.
  • Craft Exceptional User Experiences:
    • Design intuitive, customer-centric user flows and interfaces that delight users and drive performance.
    • Focus on removing friction points and ensuring a seamless end-to-end user journey.
  • Build and Maintain Design Systems:
    • Develop and manage scalable, pixel-perfect design systems in Figma to ensure consistency across the site.
    • Maintain a library of reusable components for rapid design and development cycles.
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and development, to translate business goals into exceptional digital experiences.
    • Leverage customer feedback, user research, and data insights to inform design decisions.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends:
    • Stay current with eCommerce and DTC trends, tools, and best practices.
    • Bring innovative ideas and a "funnel hacking" mindset to the team.
Requirements

Experience in Shopify/DTC:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or digital product design, preferably in eCommerce, Shopify, or personal care brands/agencies.

Strong Design Skills:

  • Proficient in Figma, with a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable design systems.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and performance-focused design.

Experimentation and Data-Driven Thinking:

  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, Google Optimize, VWO) and designing for testable hypotheses.
  • Ability to use data insights, heatmaps, and customer feedback to refine and optimize designs.

Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Passion for crafting user experiences that delight customers while achieving business goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to balance aesthetics with performance.

Funnel Hacking Mindset:

  • A creative thinker who can optimize funnels, landing pages, and user flows to drive acquisition and retention.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
