About the Role
As a Senior Director, Brand Strategist, you will be a key driver to the brand strategy of your account. You’ll develop a keen understanding of your client’s business requirements and generate insights that create the foundation for brand strategy. As a critical thinker, you will work collaboratively within the strategy team as well as with the account, creative, and scientific teams to facilitate strategic recommendations that lead to significant brand results
What you'll do
- Oversee synthesis of market, competitor, and audience intelligence into compelling implications & narratives that drive decision-making
- Proactively anticipate market shifts, competitive dynamics, and customer behaviour changes to evolve brand strategy accordingly
- Champion of the voice of the customer, consolidating market research and insights to ensure the brand strategy reflects unmet needs, motivations
- Inform and aid in the development of brand strategy foundation including brand positioning, messaging strategy, competitive strategy and more
- Partner with engagement strategy to ensure alignment of all creative and activation outputs
- Partner closely with Creative, Account, Scientific, and Engagement teams to ensure seamless strategy integration
About you
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, Communications, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics
- Experience
- 7+ years’ experience in a healthcare/pharmaceutical advertising agency environment
- Relevant category experience
- Experience with patient pharmaceutical marketin
- Competencies
- Understands the pharmaceutical & healthcare industries
- Skilled in leading strategic planning discussions, collaboration sessions etc.
- Strong synthesis skills and analytical rigor
- Skilled in bringing new ideas to the table, leveraging data and insights, and effectively selling through these ideas to team and clients, providing rationale and research.
- Proven success selling strategic ideas and recommendations
- Skilled in developing and delivering high quality, compelling client presentations. PowerPoint and/or Keynote power user.
- Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts, ideas and facts.
