As a Sr. Director, Creative Strategy You Will:

Creative Strategy Leadership

  • Elevate creative output across the organization by establishing clear frameworks, standards, and best practices.

  • Champion innovation across the creative discipline, including the integration of AI, DCO, ML, and emerging storytelling technologies.

  • Own the development of insight-driven creative strategies that unlock brand and business growth.

  • Translate cultural, consumer, and behavioral insights into actionable creative territories and big ideas.

  • Lead creative ideation sessions and guide creative directors and design teams toward compelling, strategically grounded concepts

  • Mentor, coach, and develop multi-level creative strategists and hybrid strategy talent.

  • Support hiring decisions, capability building, training programs, and the cultivation of an inclusive, empowered team culture.

Thought Leadership & Innovation

  • Serve as a key strategic and creative voice within Tinuiti, contributing to agency-wide thought leadership.

  • Identify industry, cultural, and creative trends, distilling their implications for clients and internal teams.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that push Tinuiti’s creative capabilities forward.

  • Represent the agency in external speaking engagements, marketing content, and high-profile industry conversations.

Creative Effectiveness & Insights Partnership

  • Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to uncover insights that inform messaging, creative direction, and performance optimization.

  • Drive data-informed storytelling, ensuring creative ideas are measurable and linked to key KPIs.

  • Champion frameworks and methodologies that connect creative decisions directly to business outcomes.

Business Development & Agency Growth

  • Lead creative strategy development for new business pitches, helping craft compelling narratives and pitch content.

  • Contribute to Tinuiti’s growth by identifying new creative opportunities and service offerings.

  • Partner with client and agency leadership to expand creative engagements and deepen client relationships.

Strategic Planning Leadership & Organizational Structure

  • Serve as a senior leader within Tinuiti’s Strategic Planning organization, helping shape the vision and evolution of the agency’s integrated strategy practice.

  • Partner with VP of Comms on frameworks, messaging architectures, and integrated briefing templates, etc. that ensure media, creative, are aligned

  • Collaborate with Integrated Planning to translate creative strategy across channel roles to ensure each touchpoint amplifies the core creative idea.

  • Help define how Creative Strategy and Comms Strategy partner operationally from brief development to experience channel planning.

Professional Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, or related creative leadership roles.

  • Deep expertise in insight development, cultural analysis, and creative problem-solving.

  • Strong track record developing breakthrough creative strategies tied to measurable outcomes.

  • Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and communication skills with experience presenting to executive-level audiences.

  • Proven success managing and growing multi-level creative teams.

  • Experience working across a range of creative formats and channels, including digital, social, video, experiential, and emerging platforms.

  • A strong portfolio or strategic body of work demonstrating innovation and impact.

  • Ability to travel for key client meetings, new business, and internal leadership sessions as needed.

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $150,000 - $170,000 plus performance bonus of up to 25%.  Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits and equity upon requests. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted up to or over 100% of the offered base salary (no cap).  Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
