About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager able to navigate ambiguous problem areas, create a strategy, and drive to results.  In this role, you will be instrumental in figuring out how we can best leverage context in the flow of work, building consumer grade experiences that truly solve enterprise user problems.  You will blend creative thinking with rigorous quality and metrics analysis, in the world of Generative AI.  

The ideal candidate is passionate about applied AI, which significant experience in the space.  This is a high profile role that is ready for a strong IC leader who can work effectively with engineering and design partners, and with stakeholders across the entire organization largely independently and take their career to the next level.

What you’ll do

  • Define and own product vision, strategy and roadmap for a key Slack AI area focused on building embedded applied Generative AI features to uplevel productivity at work

  • Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to adoption, including requirements with prioritized features, quality standards, polished experiences, and success metrics.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to scope, prioritize and drive feature specifications.

  • Engage with customers, stakeholders, and partners to deliver roadmap updates, get product feedback, and identify additional challenges and opportunities.

  • Research and understand industry trends and competition in Generative AI.

  • Collaborate with teams across Slack and Salesforce.

  • Represent Slack and Salesforce as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, and community sites and social media.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of Product Management or similar experience with highly technical products/platforms

  • Extensive experience working in applied AI space including strong technical background and ability to interface with engineers and data scientists in the space.

  • Good understanding of Generative AI landscape and trends.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience. presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive, critical issues.

  • Deep experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into a practical product roadmap in ambiguous problem spaces

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc)

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Generative AI evaluation and testing approaches.

  • Experience defining & building AI capabilities, focused on enabling different personas to get their jobs done 

  • Experience driving deep collaborations within the company and with external partners and customers.
