Position Summary

Kaseya is seeking a Senior Director, Segment Marketing - Platform & Strategic to own the company's cross-portfolio platform narrative and lead marketing strategy for our most strategic audiences. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this leader will define and champion the story of Kaseya's integrated platform — the case for why the unified suite wins over point solutions — and ensure it runs consistently through campaigns, events, analyst relations, and sales enablement.

Where our segment marketing teams go deep on specific customer communities, this role goes deep on two things: the platform-level narrative that unifies everything Kaseya sells, and the strategic and enterprise-scale accounts whose buying decisions are made at the platform level rather than the product level. The Senior Director will serve as the marketing organization's authority on the platform story and a senior external voice for how the market, industry analysts, and our largest customers understand where Kaseya is going.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and continuously sharpen Kaseya's master platform narrative, ensuring individual product stories ladder up to one coherent, differentiated platform message
  • Develop the proof points, ROI narratives, and customer evidence that make the platform case credible and quantifiable for buyers
  • Own marketing strategy for strategic and enterprise-scale accounts, including segmentation, messaging, and account-based marketing strategy in partnership with demand generation and sales leadership
  • Support strategic deals as marketing's senior voice: executive briefings, platform-level pitches, and C-suite-facing content
  • Lead platform-level competitive intelligence and own the competitive narrative in platform-versus-platform evaluations, equipping GTM teams to win
  • Monitor market dynamics — consolidation, pricing shifts, emerging entrants — and translate them into positioning and strategy recommendations for the CMO and executive team
  • Represent the platform story externally as a senior spokesperson at flagship events, analyst briefings, webinars, and industry forums, in partnership with corporate communications and analyst relations
  • Bring insights from strategic audiences back into product, pricing, and packaging conversations
  • Build and mentor a small, high-leverage team while driving outcomes through influence across product marketing, demand generation, communications, product, and sales

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of B2B software marketing experience, including 5+ years in senior product marketing, segment marketing, or GTM strategy leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success marketing a multi-product platform or integrated suite, with a track record of building and telling a platform-level story
  • Experience marketing to IT buyers and influencing enterprise or strategic-account buying decisions
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with comfort presenting to C-suite audiences, industry analysts, and large stages
  • Strong analytical foundation, with positioning and strategy grounded in market evidence and business cases
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the IT management, security, or infrastructure software landscape
  • Experience at a company that grew through acquisition, integrating acquired products into a unified platform narrative
  • Background working alongside or within the MSP, channel, or IT services ecosystem
  • Analyst relations experience (Gartner, Forrester, Canalys)
  • Experience building or scaling account-based marketing programs for enterprise audiences

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
