What you'll do as Senior Director of Solution Engineering, Enterprise
The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, experienced and curious team.
Reporting to the Vice President of Pre-Sales Solution Engineering, you will own the performance and development of the Solution Engineering organization for US Enterprise Team with accountability for Execution, Operational Diligence, Growth and Scale.

- Build and lead your organization with clarity, authority and empathy. Create an environment of psychological safety, where collaboration is expected and encouraged and where innovation and creativity thrives.
- Drive a customer centric culture and engage directly with strategic clients to help close & scale opportunities while building relationships with the client.
- Articulate and demonstrate the execution of the regional vision and strategy. Foster team collaboration and keep us moving forwards cohesively.
- Build a leadership team who care first and foremost about the customer, coaching and developing their people. Be creative and bespoke in your approach with a high focus on individual connections.
- Exemplify and support the navigation of technical sales and the building of critical relationships, including executive sponsorship of large enterprise customers.
- Represent Solution Engineering locally and globally, building relationships with key business partners and stakeholders. This will include Sales Leadership, Product, Support, Engineering, Legal, Special Projects and more! Use these relationships to ensure the success of Cloudflare and our Customers.
- Help build out goals for each team member detailing their respective career path, areas of improvement and help drive the right behavior while motivating and energizing the team.
- Conduct 1:1 as well as team meetings to ensure progress and remain proactive on opportunities and team situations.
- Represent and Evangelize Cloudflare externally at Developer, Community, Technology, Cybersecurity and Industry focused events with thought leadership and expertise.
- Be the voice of your customers in your region - you will understand the nuanced requirements of the countries and markets that make up your region, and you will need to represent them to ensure their needs are met.
