Senior DocuSign Engineer (Enterprise Technology) 

Overview
Compass is seeking a Senior DocuSign Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing DocuSign solutions, integrating them with other enterprise systems, and optimizing contract management workflows. Key responsibilities include leading solution design, collaborating with stakeholders, customizing DocuSign, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of DocuSign experience, a strong understanding of complex contract lifecycle management workflows, and expertise in API integrations. Preferred qualifications include experience with other SaaS solutions, and Agile methodologies. Position Overview
The Senior DocuSign Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert for DocuSign Contract Lifecycle Management and ESign at Compass, partnering closely with Legal, Procurement, IT, and Engineering teams to deliver effective, scalable solutions. This role will be responsible for the design, customization, integration, and ongoing enhancement of DocuSign, ensuring it aligns with evolving business requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of contract lifecycle processes to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of DocuSign solutions that support Compass’s enterprise contract management needs.
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Customize and configure DocuSign to optimize workflows, improve usability, and ensure alignment with Compass’s operational goals.
  • Integrate DocuSign with the Compass platform, legal platforms, and other enterprise applications to create seamless, end-to-end contract management processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for system configurations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to end-users, ensuring adoption and effective utilization of DocuSign capabilities.
  • Stay current with DocuSign product developments, emerging best practices, and relevant industry trends to guide platform strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and improve contract lifecycle processes, reducing manual effort and increasing compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing DocuSign solutions.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes, best practices, and operational requirements.
  • Proven expertise in DocuSign configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Hands-on experience integrating DocuSign with custom integrations and other legal or enterprise platforms.
  • Proficiency with API integrations, web services, and related development tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other contract management and document management solutions.
  • Familiarity with e-signature platforms and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Prior experience in high-growth, fast-moving technology companies.
  • Certifications in DocuSign CLM, ESign, or related technologies.
  • Additional experience supporting SaaS platforms such as - Salesforce, Workday, Zenesk

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is $86,000-$129,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
