Job Description

Build the infrastructure that powers the world’s most critical environments.

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Design to join our growing team supporting mission-critical infrastructure projects across data centers, power systems, and industrial facilities.

This is a hands-on design role for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys solving real-world engineering challenges, and wants to work directly with customers to bring high-impact solutions to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead electrical design for mission-critical power systems (LV–MV)
  • Create:
    • Single-line diagrams
    • Schematics
    • Equipment layouts
    • Technical specifications
  • Support multiple projects (up to ~15) as a lead or key contributor
  • Partner directly with customers to develop and refine solutions
  • Play a critical role in winning new business through early-stage design
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to bring designs into production
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development

What Makes This Role Different

  • High ownership: You’ll take designs from concept to execution
  • Customer-facing: You’re not behind the scenes — you’re solving problems directly with clients
  • Fast-paced impact: Many deliverables turn around in days, not weeks
  • Real influence: Your work directly supports major infrastructure projects and business growth

What Success Looks Like

  • Relieve pressure on the current engineering team by taking ownership of key design work
  • Deliver high-quality designs with speed and accuracy
  • Build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Contribute to winning new projects through strong technical input
  • Help scale engineering capability as the business continues to grow

Why Join Us

  • Work on high-impact, large-scale projects ($1M–$200M+)
  • Be part of a team shaping the future of mission-critical infrastructure
  • Opportunity to grow, lead, and influence as the organization scales

Qualifications

  • Strong electrical design experience in:
    • Data centers
    • Power plants
    • Hospitals
    • Airports
    • Industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to design independently (not just review/redline others’ work)
  • Experience with power distribution systems (LV–MV)
  • Familiarity with:
    • AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks (or similar)
    • Protection and coordination systems (SEL relay experience a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers
  • A “get it done” mindset — resourceful, adaptable, and accountable

Additional Information

A Note to our Recruitment Partners: We really appreciate the interest, but MCG currently manages hiring through our internal team. We love getting to know our candidates directly!
