Location: 1040 12th Avenue Northwest Issaquah WA 98027

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer 

Duration: 7 months (Could go beyond) 

Role Summary/Purpose:

• A Sr. Electrical Engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in Electrical Engineering, and investigates new techniques as part of a team.

• The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing electrical product/subsystem release solutions. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Designing electrical systems for new and existing automated imaging systems. 

• Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture (Sr. Electrical Engineer or LP-Band applicable), documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support 

• Design tasks include system level architecture, PCBA design (including Schematic capture, PCB layout, FPGA Design, PCBA firmware development), EMI/EMC design and mitigation, electronic component selection. 

• Troubleshoot and evaluate new PCBAs, resolve issues with existing designs 

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 

• 7 years engineering experience in a related field 

• Demonstrated experience in any of the following: : Designing and prototyping complex PCBAs 

• Working knowledge of Mechanical and Thermal aspects of electrical sub-system design and packaging 

Desired Characteristics:

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 

• Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities 

• Global project experience 

• Comfortable with Schematic and Layout design tools. Preferable to have experience with Altium designer, experience with OrCAD and PADs a plus. 

• Experience with and proficient in VHDL and microcontroller firmware (C code).

• Preferable to have experience with RTOS applications. 

• Experience managing PCBA and Firmware revision control 

• Experience designing products complying with international regulator rules, RoHS, IPC, IEC 

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple designs simultaneously
