We are building the next generation of advanced DRAM at Micron. Our Technology Development team works at the intersection of materials science, device scaling, and high-volume manufacturing. We move fast, test bold ideas, and turn innovation into production-ready solutions! This role plays a critical part in advancing metals and thin-film processes that enable Micron's most advanced memory technologies. You will own key wet and vapor etch processes, influence technology roadmaps, and work closely with integration and partner process teams to deliver results that matter.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own metals and thin-film etch processes for advanced DRAM technologies
  • Drive technical decisions through experiments, data analysis, and feasibility studies
  • Partner with integration and process teams to meet yield, performance, and scaling goals
  • Generate and protect Micron intellectual property
  • Influence technical direction through clear communication with senior stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience including industry work or graduate research
  • Solid understanding of solid-state physics, metals, surfaces, and interfaces
  • Hands-on experience with thin-film deposition or etch tools in a lab or cleanroom
  • Knowledge of chemical kinetics applied to CVD, ALD, or PVD processes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in semiconductor process development or manufacturing
  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and experimental design
  • Experience with thin-film characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, SIMS, or XPS
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and take process ownership
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or coding to engineering or data workflows
