  • Pipeline Generation: Develop a pipeline of sales opportunities focused on Hybrid Quantum-Classical architectures, integrating IonQ hardware into existing AI clusters and Exascale environments.
  • Secure Networking: Lead the sales of Quantum Networking solutions, specifically targeting "Quantum-Safe" data center interconnects and secure model-training environments.
  • Strategic Qualification: Qualify opportunities based on technical feasibility, financial considerations, and strategic alignment with IonQ’s target position in the AI/HPC industry.

  • Retention & Expansion: Partner with Customer Success post-sale to ensure high satisfaction, driving renewals and identifying opportunities for incremental revenue

Requirements:

  • HPC/Analytics Infrastructure Sales: Experience selling Supercomputers, AI Accelerators (TPUs/LPUs/GPUs), or high-speed InfiniBand/Optical networking.
  • Industry Network: Existing relationships within  AI Labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI), Neocloud providers (e.g., Coreweave, nscale) and Hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
  • Category Creation: Proven ability to sell "frontier" infrastructure—moving beyond standard CPUs/GPUs and convince stakeholders/buyers of the necessity of Quantum Acceleration.
  • Complex GTM Problem Solving: Ability to navigate the technical complexities of data center integration, including cooling, power constraints, and rack-scale deployment.
  • STEM Foundation: An undergraduate degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field (STEM).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Targeted senior-level relationships: existing Senior-level relationships with key decision makers in the neocloud provider Industry and/or with leaders building the next generation of Foundation Models (LLMs/LMMs).
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the AI Scaling Laws and how Quantum Computing can address bottlenecks in training, optimization, or high-dimensional data processing.
  • Quantum and AI: Understanding of how Quantum Algorithms (like QAOA or VQE) can be leveraged for neural network optimization or hardware-efficient AI training.
  • Quantum-Safe Networking Expertise: Experience selling high-end cybersecurity or networking infrastructure, with an understanding of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
