JOB SUMMARY
The Global Events team coordinates with sales, marketing, product and executive management teams to deliver VAST proprietary events and the execution of marquee industry events and third party trade show sponsorships. As Senior Event Manager reporting to the Head of Events, you'll be the driving force behind seamless event execution, leading cross-functional teams to deliver experiences that exceed expectations.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of the North America event plan that includes event targeting, conference & calendar management, driving pipeline through conferences and tradeshows to meet and exceed revenue goals. This role will also collaborate across marketing on the execution of VAST Data’s Annual User Conference.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop event strategies for conferences and tradeshows across North America
- Create and manage an annual 3rd party conference event calendar, making recommendations based on industry trends
- Facilitate end to end event management, including, all strategic, logistical and operational planning and management of events including booth asset allocation, production and placement, and sponsorship fulfillment
- Collaborate cross functionally with field/channel marketing, PR, customer advocacy, product marketing, demand generation and the BDR teams to drive successful customer engagement and market awareness
- Lead pre & post event meetings to communicate and align on planning elements and relevant stakeholders and debrief to incorporate learnings for future activities
- Manage budget, timelines, resources and ensure brand consistency across all experiences
- Set and define goals for each event including targeted lead flow, track results and measure program success
- Provide operational and logistics support for VAST Data’s user conference, collaborating across internal and external stakeholder teams
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years event marketing experience planning and managing trade shows and user conferences
- Experience onboarding and managing multiple vendors.
- Exceptional organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and communicate with remote management and geographically dispersed teams for extended periods of time.
- Ability to be creative, efficient, and productive with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
- A strong team player – comfortable and motivated working in a collaborative environment, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Travel up to 40% of the time, including occasional international travel
