The Task At Hand:
The Sales Finance Leader is responsible for partnering with Sales, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Category Management, Sales Planning, Trade Planning, and FP&A to drive profitable growth. You will own pressure testing and validating all inputs into the commercial P&L and be the financial voice in pricing, promotions, and customer strategies. You will build guardrails, elevate insights, and help the business make data-driven decisions. You will align cross-functional partners and ensure we have reliable, timely visibility into where the business is headed. You will help build the processes, tools, and discipline that enable predictable performance and proactive decision-making.
This role ensures that our investments in trade, pricing, distribution, and innovation translate into incremental volume and healthy margins. You will build customer P&Ls, lead monthly financial reviews, and improve forecast accuracy.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct influence on revenue, profitability, planning, and strategy.
In This Role, You Will:
- Own channel and customer-level profitability and partner with Sales to deliver revenue and margin targets
- Build, maintain and improve customer P&Ls and performance scorecards. Build dashboards and reporting for trade, customer margin, price volume mix, and forecast accuracy
- Lead monthly business reviews with Sales and Finance, highlighting performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
- Provide Commercial Finance leadership on annual planning, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range plans, including development and tracking of key financial KPIs (e.g. customer and product category growth, trade efficiency targets)
- Partner with Sales Planning, Customer Development, E-Commerce, Marketing, Demand Planning to align sales forecasts and support the S&OP process.
- Pressure-test forecast assumptions and on distribution, velocity, promotion, and innovation
- Collaborate with RGM on price/pack strategy and elasticity insights and how they impact our forecasts
- Partner with Trade Planning and Accounting on trade accruals, variance analysis, and sales finance reporting deliverables
- Identify and reduce profit leakage from trade efficiency and deduction issues
- Partner with Marketing on evaluating Marketing initiative effectiveness, ROI and impact on sales forecasts
- Partner with E-Commerce team on sales drivers, advertising spend and CAC, and impact on sales forecasts
- Evolve and implement scalable FP&A processes and tools to enhance data accuracy, streamline reporting, and improve the overall quality and speed of financial analysis.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional and executive audiences
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A and/or sales finance at a CPG organization
- Strong familiarity with consumption and syndicated data sources (e.g. Circana/IRI, Nielsen, SPINS)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; you can distill data into action
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience crafting narratives for executive or investor audiences
- Proven experience in building and improving annual planning and forecasting processes in a commercial context
- Proven ability to analyze and optimize pricing, promotion, and cost structures, with strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft BI tools a plus
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
- Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter
- Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet

- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment
- Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Finance preferred

Compensation:
- Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $185,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
