POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support F5’s Product Organization, with a focus on our subscription-based businesses. As part of F5 Finance, you will join a small, highly influential team dedicated to F5’s overall success. In this role, you will partner with Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and Product Management to support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. You will own complex financial models related to cloud hosting expenses, data center expansion and run rates, and resource planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Communicate and partner with business functions to support their strategy and goals
  • Perform detailed variance analysis for Product Management and Engineering teams, communicating results to leaders in both Finance and Product.
  • Lead financial discussions during monthly reviews, quarterly Business Metric Reviews, and fiscal planning with senior leaders.
  • Work within F5's internal budgeting system to track and update rolling forecasts and headcount with high attention to detail.
  • Generate financial impact analysis for strategic investments and enhance reporting of budgets by workstream, with a focus on automation and scalability.
     

TECHNICAL SKILLS & CORE COMPETENCIES: 

  • Advanced business and data analysis skills including building reports and complex models in excel to measure business performance (PowerBI/Tableau is a bonus).
  • Ability to communicate and lead meetings with senior management.
  • Innovative mindset; interest in improving processes and leveraging finance tools
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively support multiple initiatives across business units.
  • Ability to draw concise, well supported recommendations based on detailed analysis of the given issue
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting to support project budgets.
     

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:   

  • BA/BS degree (or higher) in Finance/IS, Accounting, Business Analytics or related field
  • 6+ years work experience

The annual base pay for this position is: $129,400.00 - $194,000.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
