As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for various functions associated with Hagerty’s Financial Planning and Analysis. These functions include long term strategic financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, merger and acquisition support and analysis of new business opportunities.  The Senior Financial Analyst will liaise with business leaders and provide insight to support the long- and short-term decision making of the organization.

What you’ll do
  • Assists in the development, implementation and operationalization of a continuous planning process.
  • Develop relationships and lead planning discussions with various business units and shared service functions.
  • Financial modeling and analysis to support short- and long-term financial planning.
  • Financial modeling and analysis to support mergers and acquisitions or strategic business opportunities.
  • Independently perform variance and trend analysis in order to provide business insight to improve planning processes and business practices.
  • Ownership of specific subject matter expert financial models and forecasts, becoming an expert in a specific area to help drive results.
  • Demonstrate leadership and influence of finance staff and business partners.
  • Lead projects to improve the use of data analytics and drive efficiency in business process and forecasting procedures.
This might describe you
  • Finance, Accounting or Business Degree.
  • Proven related work experience in finance/accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial modeling.
  • Financial planning experience is a plus.
  • Workday/Adaptive Planning software experience is a plus.
  • International accounting or finance experience is a plus.
Other things to note
  • This position can be worked remotely within the United States.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
