About the role:

Self is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team. If you’re an ambitious and analytical individual who enjoys solving complex business problems, then we want to work with you. The Senior Financial Analyst position will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making through financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis. This position requires advanced financial modeling skills, a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner. 

Your work will include preparing recurring and ad hoc financial reporting and analyses, reporting trends in key performance indicators and collaborating with various stakeholders across Analytics, Marketing, Risk and others to agree on key inputs that drive Self’s financial forecast. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.


What you will do:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and budgets by collecting, analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting and budgeting for both short-term and long-term planning
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks affecting the company’s financial performance. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Build and monitor key financial metrics and indicators, including Unit Economics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations for internal stakeholders, summarizing financial results and insights. 
  • Assist in monthly financial close process, including variance analysis
  • Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives and provide financial guidance
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports on financial performance and strategic recommendations

What you’ll have:

  • Strong analytical skillset and a desire to solve complex business problems
  • Advanced financial modeling skills 
  • Proficiency with Excel, Tableau and other software used to support financial modeling and reporting
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Ability to work with large datasets
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
