- Work on configuring automated in-app calculations of management fees and carried interest as well as preparing manual calculations when automation is not possible;
- Serve as a subject matter expert in fund administration accounting and its standard practices (specifically as it relates to management fees and carry), providing guidance and support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders;
- Collaborate with the Product team and participate in the development and implementation of complex technical solutions or projects related to the team’s responsibilities;
- Assist with audit requests when necessary during year-end reporting.
The Team You'll Work With
You’ll be joining the Fee Team - one of the functional teams within Fund Admin Business Unit. The Fee Team is responsible for ensuring all management fee and carried interest calculations are performed accurately, and all fee payment cycles run smoothly. We support all clients by:
- Preparing management fee and carried interest calculations
- Providing support during audit
- Providing explanation of fee calculations to clients and advising on best practices when needed.
About You
- You have a strong understanding of fund accounting.
- You have experience in interpreting LPAs and operating agreements, specifically when it comes to fee calculations.
- You have an operational mindset and are constantly looking for ways to streamline processes.
- You have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- You have strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our expected cash compensation (salary) range for this role is:
$102,000 - $120,000 in San Francisco, CA; Santa Clara, CA & New York, NY
$96,900 - $114,000 in Seattle, WA
