About Us:

Mondoo is creating a new way that helps companies keep their users and data safe from hackers around the world. We believe that core engineers who have both technical excellence and empathy to the developer experience will help our customers take action against attackers.

The Role:

We're looking for a Graphic Designer to shape the visual heartbeat of our brand. You’ll lead the creation of standout marketing materials from high-converting digital ads and polished sales assets to bold out-of-home campaigns. You’ll be the key creative partner to marketing, helping craft design strategies that not only look great but drive results. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned designer who’s equally excited about building a brand system as they are about sweating the details of a landing page or a product illustration.

What You’ll Achieve:
  • Design high-impact marketing materials: Create engaging assets for social media, digital ads, email campaigns, product one-pagers, landing pages, event swag, packaging, and more, all with a strong grasp of brand and performance goals.

  • Evolve and maintain our brand identity: Develop illustrations, iconography, typography, layouts, and visual systems that bring our story to life and scale across all touch points.

  • Ensure brand consistency: Act as a steward of our visual identity, maintaining high standards and consistency across channels, campaigns, and formats.

  • Collaborate across the company: Partner closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to brainstorm creative approaches, align on goals, and incorporate feedback that sharpens the final output.

  • Lead visual planning and research: Stay ahead of design trends, competitor campaigns, and industry best practices to inform your concepts and keep our visuals fresh and relevant.

  • Own execution and delivery: Manage the creative process from kickoff to delivery including QA, platform-specific adaptations, and coordination with external vendors when needed.

  • Present, iterate, and improve: Confidently share your work with stakeholders, clearly explain your rationale, and refine designs based on feedback and performance data.

What You’ll Bring:
  • 6-8+ years of design experience, ideally with a focus on marketing, branding, and storytelling at a high-growth startup

  • At this stage we do require that this person have experience in the cybersecurity market

  • A portfolio that speaks for itself: Show us multi-channel campaigns, brand systems, and standout individual pieces—bonus points for anything motion-based or interactive

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other tools of the trade (plus comfort exploring new ones as needed)

  • Experience creating and evolving brand identities from typography and color systems to voice-aligned visuals and character design

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and execs; you know how to navigate feedback, align stakeholders, and still ship great work

  • Deep understanding of design for performance and how visuals can drive engagement, action, and brand recall

  • Experience overseeing production workflows, working with vendors (print, digital, packaging), and adapting assets across channels

  • Strong presentation skills: you can clearly articulate your design rationale and advocate for visual excellence

Interview Process:

At Mondoo, we believe in an equitable and transparent interview process. Here is what you can expect (subject to change with notice):

  • Recruiter Screen: 30 minute phone call

  • Hiring Manager Screen: 45 minute Google Meet with CSO, Patrick Münch

  • CEO Screen: 30 minute Google Meet with CEO, Soo Choi-Andrews

  • Presentation with several team members (prompt to be shared at this stage)

  • Offer!

What We Offer:
  • Remote-first. We’re a fully remote team, so build your best setup where you feel most productive.

  • Own a piece of the journey. Every teammate gets meaningful equity on top of their salary.

  • We’ve got you covered. 100% of your medical, dental, and vision is paid for by Mondoo. We also cover 50% for your dependents.

  • Take the time you need. Our flexible PTO lets you recharge, travel, or just take a breather.

  • Family matters. 12 weeks of fully paid maternity leave (birth, adoption, or foster), and 8 weeks fully paid paternity leave.

  • Set up your space. A $500 home office stipend when you join—and we’ll refresh it for you every two years.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
