The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world.

In this position...

FMCC is seeking a senior Informatica engineer to join the Customer Domain Identity Platform team. In this role you will design, implement, maintain, document and evolve solutions for our Informatica MDM SaaS platform. Your extensive experience will be leveraged to solve complex problems, guide projects and features through definition, implementation and deployment, and you will mentor others on the team. With your learner's mindset, you will grow and develop as an engineer and technical leader, as a team member, as a human, and as a champion for Ford.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

Design, build and manage Informatica IDMC integrations and dataflows based on Cloud App Integration, Data Integration & Replication, and Customer 360 MDM products, among others in the IDMC suite.

Integrate Informatica solutions with the Ford Credit ecosystem using API-based and event-based patterns that leverage GCP native products.

Coach teammates on design patterns and software engineering practices in your areas of specific expertise.

Integrate with, build and maintain business critical software solutions leveraging Java and Spring Boot with hexagonal architecture.

Thoughtfully apply and evolve AI-assisted development techniques

Lead and guide the breakdown of requirements into implementable work within a Lean-centric SAFe process framework.

Contribute to the shared learning of the team and broader organization.

Qualifications

You'll have...

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Notable hands-on training or certification with Informatica MDM. While PowerCenter and IICS training are relevant, MDM SaaS certifications are a plus.

Basic qualifications:

  • At least five years’ experience developing solutions in Informatica MDM. Demonstrable expertise with taskflow engineering, backend data integration and modeling, match-merge and survivorship, and ingress/egress patterns are a must-have for this role.
  • Experience leveraging continuous integration & continuous delivery with Informatica configurations and custom solution source code. This goes beyond OOTB checkin/checkout capabilities in Informatica and includes artifacts such as BPEL definitions of taskflows among other exportable configurations.
  • Recent, demonstrable experience integrating Informatica MDM SaaS with low-latency business processes at scale.
  • Expertise with common Informatica scripting, modeling and development languages including XQuery and XPath, SQL/NoSQL and ETL, JSON/ETL and other related to CAI, CDI, CDQ and X360 IDMC products.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and documenting Informatica solutions, including experience with Mermaid and C4 modeling.
  • Experience leveraging automated testing frameworks and tools with Informatica CAI, CDI, and similar integration products.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing software with java, spring, and github.
  • Experience managing work with Jira
  • Strong and clear oral and written communications skills with both technical and business audiences.

Even better, you may have...

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Desirable certifications include:
  • Informatica Professional level certifications are a big plus
  • GCP Associate or higher certifications are a plus

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
