About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Polymarket is looking for a Senior Investigation Analyst to help protect the integrity of its markets. Market Integrity's remit covers insider trading, market manipulation, spoofing and order-book abuse, coordinated multi-account activity, bot and automated-trading abuse, sanctions and illicit-finance exposure, and account takeover and fraud.

You'll own investigations end to end and serve as a point of contact for law enforcement and regulatory inquiries into suspicious activity — using on-chain analysis, vendor surveillance tools, and referrals from across the company to build cases from initial signal through documented, defensible findings.

What You'll Do

  • Investigate insider trading, coordinated wallet activity, spoofing, and other market integrity matters from initial signal through a documented, defensible finding

  • Trace wallets, funding flows, and transaction history using tools such as Chainalysis to identify coordination and test hypotheses

  • Review spoofing, layering, and related order-book manipulation using trade-surveillance tooling (e.g., Eventus/Validus) alongside on-chain evidence

  • Evaluate and respond to subpoenas and legal process, assessing risk and sensitivity and meeting binding deadlines

  • Write investigative reports and findings that hold up to scrutiny from leadership, law enforcement, or outside counsel

  • Stay current on manipulation and fraud patterns as prediction markets and the underlying blockchain ecosystem evolve

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years of investigative experience in trade surveillance, market structure or regulation, blockchain forensics, financial crimes, law enforcement, or a comparable field involving building cases from ambiguous evidence

  • Working knowledge of order-book mechanics and manipulation typologies (spoofing, layering, wash trading), or blockchain analysis and on-chain typologies — ideally both

  • Direct experience with blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic) or trade-surveillance platforms (e.g., Eventus/Validus, Nasdaq SMARTS)

  • A track record of building a case from limited initial indicators and documenting it clearly enough to act on

  • Sound judgment evaluating and responding to legal and regulatory requests under real deadlines

  • Genuine comfort with ambiguity — a meaningful share of what you'll investigate won't map to a category that already exists

  • (Plus) Experience with prediction markets or other crypto-native platforms

  • (Plus) SQL or Python, used to test your own hypotheses against trade or on-chain data

  • (Plus) Prior experience serving as a point of contact for law enforcement or regulators

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
