As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Technology, AI/ML & Data Platforms organization, you will be tasked with enhancing and developing innovative, cloud-based architecture platforms. Your role will be crucial in promoting the execution of strategic global solutions throughout the firm. Your exceptional architecture abilities will be utilized in cooperation with colleagues across the organization, leading to superior outcomes.
Our team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive data management solutions that ensure J.P Morgan Chase's data is easily discoverable, comprehensible, observable, reliable, accessible, and interoperable for authorized personnel. This commitment promotes our BI and AI/ML initiatives, allowing us to operate with agility and speed. Our organization is composed of centers of excellence for various product domains, including Data Lake Services, Data Migrations Services, Unified Data Catalog and Controls, Entitlements Services, and Data Analytics & Business Intelligence services. These centers are instrumental in fostering digital transformation, cloud adoption, and AI/ML capabilities across the firm.
Job responsibilities
  • Design and implement a data mesh architecture that decentralizes data ownership and management across domain teams.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, including data product interfaces, data contracts, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with domain teams to understand their data needs and provide guidance on best practices for data product development.
  • Leverage AWS services (e.g., AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda) to build scalable and secure data solutions.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of data products and infrastructure.
  • Provide training and support to domain teams on data mesh principles and AWS technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data mesh and cloud computing.
  • Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on Data Architecture concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of Data architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Expert level with Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst, Trino, AWS Database & Analytics
  • Hands on experience in working on BI and AI/ML solutions with business stakeholders and data scientists
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Prior Fin-tech experience preferred
  • Strong team player
