Reports to: Director, Community

Location: Remote Australia

What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 4M+ endpoints and 7M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Manager, Community is responsible for leading regional community strategy and acting as a high-visibility liaison within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) ecosystem. You will manage regional community initiatives, serving as an individual contributor to drive product awareness and education in targeted accounts.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Management & Leadership

  • Regional Strategy Development: Help develop and execute a growth plan for high-value accounts in the APAC region in collaboration with global Community Leadership.
  • Initiative Ownership: Lead special projects as requested to support global business initiatives in program development and help identify opportunities for geographic expansion into new APAC markets.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Account Executives, Account Management, Marketing, SDR, and Partner Success teams to identify strategic partners and influence company-wide programs to ensure they align with the needs of APAC MSPs.
  • Internal Advocacy: Serve as the internal voice of the APAC partner base, synthesising feedback and strategic opportunities for Product, Sales, and Marketing teams

2. Individual Contributor (IC) Community Functions

  • High-Touch Presence: Attend and maintain a consistent, high-value presence at APAC Industry events, Peer Groups, and external Channel communities
  • Revenue Generation: Help ensure high-value prospect accounts are engaged with Huntress and brought into the sales cycle to support the revenue team
  • Education & Content: Oversee and execute educational events, physical or virtual, as required, focusing on cybersecurity trends and business expansion for partners
  • Partner Liaison: Develop and maintain high-value relationships with MSP owners and influential peer group leaders and industry peers, ensuring they view Huntress as a strategic partner.
  • Surprise & Delight: Help design and execute creative initiatives that drive loyalty and foster deep emotional connections with our partner ecosystem.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Community Management in the MSP Industry
  • Public Presence: Strong ability to present on stage, in a boardroom, virtually, and at private dinners, etc., to confidently influence executive-level partners and MSP owners
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the MSP/Channel business model and the cybersecurity landscape.
  • Autonomy & Project Management: Exceptional time and project management skills; able to manage multiple complex initiatives independently.
  • Travel: Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including international travel to the US 1-2 times per year.

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote work
  • At least one annual trip to the US for Summer Summit, with additional local events in Australia!
  • New starter home office set up reimbursement ($800 AUD)
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
