The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Curriculum Development to lead the creation and delivery of engaging, learner-centric curriculum for Veeva’s Development Cloud and Quality Cloud products. This role will manage a team of talented curriculum developers and influence the direction of our learning strategy in partnership with product and strategy teams, ensuring modern, high-quality courses and consistent development standards that drive learner engagement and productivity.  We operate as an inclusive team of owner/builders at Veeva and expect this role to collaboratively embrace our core values of doing the right thing, customer success, employee success, and speed.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of instructor-led and self-paced training for Veeva’s Development Cloud and Quality Cloud products
  • Stay up to date with product roadmaps and new features and establish cadence to ensure all training content is current and relevant
  • Manage resource prioritization, project coordination, and ensure the team delivers on roadmap commitments
  • Collaborate closely with education leadership, product management and strategy to align curriculum with product vision and roadmap
  • Ensure consistency in instructional design standards, templates, and tools across all curricula
  • Champion the use of modern, interactive, and innovative course formats to increase learner engagement and retention
  • Pursue operational excellence by implementing processes and tools to streamline course development and improving team productivity
  • Lead, mentor, and provide feedback to curriculum developers to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Monitor training effectiveness and make data-informed recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design
  • 5+ years in management role, leading curriculum developers/instructional designers
  • Proven experience developing technical training for a B2B SaaS product or a similar enterprise software platform
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and modern and emerging learning technologies
  • Experience with Learning Experience Platforms (LXP) or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally with product, services and strategy teams
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive team execution manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to set and uphold quality standards and consistency in curriculum development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for translating complex technical concepts into clear, engaging learning materials
  • Comfortable working autonomously as well as with SMEs and stakeholders and have a natural affinity for gaining deep expertise yourself

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field
  • Experience in the Life Sciences industry, particularly drug development processes, and systems
  • Familiarity with Veeva products and solutions
  • Firsthand experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, or similar
  • Knowledge of data-driven learning analytics and evaluation methodologies
  • Experience with global training programs and localization processes

Compensation

  • Base pay: $120,000 - $175,000  
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
