Senior Manager or Director – Sales Performance Management (Anaplan/Pigment)
Location: United States or Canada

About Alpha Alternatives

Alpha Alternatives, a part of Alpha Group, is a fast-growing global consulting firm focused on digital and operational transformation in the alternative investment industry—including private equity, real estate, private debt, credit, and infrastructure. We are recognized for our deep domain expertise, innovative thinking, and commitment to delivering exceptional value.

Our consultants work alongside clients to solve complex operational and technology challenges in financial services. At Alpha, we believe in empowering client teams to be change agents and driving sustainable transformation through collaboration, insight, and execution excellence.

About the Team

Our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice enables clients to achieve operational and financial excellence through advanced planning, forecasting, and performance optimization solutions. As part of our growing Sales Performance Management (SPM) offering, we help financial services organizations modernize their go-to-market strategies with scalable platforms such as Anaplan and Pigment.

We partner with clients to optimize sales planning, territory and quota management, incentive compensation, and revenue forecasting—aligning strategy with execution through data-driven design and implementation.

Role Overview

As a Senior Manager or Director, you will lead complex SPM transformations from initial strategy through successful implementation. You’ll serve as the delivery lead on client engagements, own business development efforts, and drive the growth of our SPM capability within the EPM practice.

You will combine deep hands-on Anaplan and/or Pigment expertise with strong client management and sales leadership, working directly with senior stakeholders in financial services to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing capability within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as delivery lead on Sales Performance Management projects, managing cross-functional teams and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Own full project lifecycle from scoping and roadmap design through configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and build SPM solutions using Anaplan and/or Pigment for areas such as sales planning, territory & quota, incentive compensation, and forecasting.
  • Lead stakeholder workshops to define business requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs.
  • Build and manage client relationships at the executive level, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement.
  • Lead business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and owning full sales cycles.
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice by developing accelerators, delivery methodologies, and thought leadership.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants across functional, technical, and client engagement skills.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of consulting experience, ideally in a Big 4 or top-tier strategy/technology firm.
  • 3+ years of experience serving as delivery lead on SPM projects using Anaplan and/or Pigment.
  • Certified Anaplan Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner.
  • 3+ years of business development experience including ownership of end-to-end sales cycles for SPM implementations.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering high-impact SPM solutions in financial services environments.
  • Strong understanding of sales operations processes, including planning, compensation design, and sales analytics.
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Previous experience at a Big 4 or large consulting firm.
  • Prior work with private equity, investment banking, asset management, or insurance clients.
  • Experience with both Anaplan and Pigment platforms is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Learning and development: Vast opportunities for self-development, including unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning
  • Flexible working: Work-life balance with a flexible schedule
  • Community events: We offer a range of social events and meetups
  • 25 days’ holiday in addition to public holidays
  • Supplemented medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Wellness initiatives to promote healthy working, including gym reimbursement for those enrolled in our medical plans and a remote working technology allowance
  • Access to discounted travel, tickets, events, and more through our benefit partner

There are a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the salary range is $165,000 - $220,000 USD for US-based hires and $185,000 - $250,000 CAD for Toronto-based hires, subject to change based on salary benchmarking. In addition to this salary, candidates will be eligible for a performance-based bonus.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
