We’re looking for an experienced Director of Social & Influencer to lead how our brand shows up across our own channels and through the creators who bring it to life. Reporting to our VP of Brand, this role sits at the intersection of social, culture, creativity, community, and growth.

You’ll own both organic social and influencer from strategy through execution, leading an existing team while staying close to the work. This is a role for a player-coach who lives on the internet but thinks like a marketer: someone who can spot an emerging format, sharpen a hook, build a creator relationship, and connect it all back to measurable business impact.

What You'll Do

Social

  • Own the social and influencer strategy, team, budget, and performance, continually raising the bar across both
  • Define our organic social strategy, including our content pillars, voice and visual identity, and recurring franchises
  • Spot trends before they happen and translate cultural moments into content that performs
  • Direct creative production, partnering closely with designers, editors, and creators to keep content flowing
  • Use social performance, audience response, and cultural feedback to sharpen the approach over time

Influencer

  • Own creator strategy across seeding, paid partnerships, whitelisting, and ambassador programs
  • Build and scale an engine that generates content, word of mouth, and measurable revenue
  • Oversee creator sourcing, negotiation, briefing, and relationship management from micro to mega
  • Develop a whitelisting pipeline—including Meta and Spark Ads—in close partnership with the growth team
  • Build the tooling, processes, relationships, and reporting needed to drive quality, speed, and scale

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience building and managing social and influencer programs, ideally in DTC/CPG wellness
  • Experience leading and developing a team while staying close enough to the work to be genuinely hands-on
  • A track record building organic social around a clear content strategy—not just ad hoc posting
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the visual language of contemporary internet culture
  • Strong instincts for culture, creative, and what makes content compelling enough to earn attention
  • Direct experience building and scaling seeding and/or ambassador programs with a 100+ roster
  • Deep understanding of the creator ecosytsem, with experience sourcing, negotiating, and building relationships
  • Experience with paid creator amplification and comfort thinking in terms of CAC and performance—not just reach
  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to connect social and influencer activity to meaningful business outcomes
  • Collaborative, low-ego approach and comfort working closely with creative, growth, and cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter who can set the strategy, get into the details, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
