About the Role
Babylist is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Director of IT to lead our corporate IT, security, and enterprise technology strategy. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for building a scalable, secure, and innovative technology foundation that enables Babylist to grow efficiently. You will define the vision for our internal technology, drive the adoption of transformative solutions like AI, and foster a culture of automation and excellence. What You'll Do
- Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and execute the roadmap for Babylist's corporate IT and security, aligning with executive leadership on key priorities. You will champion a "less is more" philosophy, focusing the team on high-impact automation projects that reduce manual intervention and enhance efficiency.
- Enterprise AI Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide AI adoption strategy. You will identify and champion opportunities to leverage AI for business process automation, data-driven decision-making, and overall operational excellence.
- IT Infrastructure & Operations: Own the architecture and performance of our global IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud services, and endpoint management (Mac and Windows). Ensure the reliability and security of all office and workplace technology, including physical security systems for our showrooms and warehouses.
- Security & Compliance Leadership: Develop and lead a comprehensive corporate security program in partnership with Legal, HR, and Platform. Own and drive our compliance and risk management programs (e.g., SOX, GDPR), ensuring adherence across all corporate and platform technologies.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and grow a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, professional growth, and accountability. Define team structure, recruit top talent, and manage the IT budget to maximize business impact.
- Vendor & Project Management: Lead critical IT and security projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Manage key relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure exceptional quality and value.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like Information Technology or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in IT and security, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership and people management capacity.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic IT and security roadmaps in a high-growth environment.
- Deep expertise in IT systems, network security, automation technologies, and data protection principles.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including the executive team.

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The estimated pay range for this role is $154,380.00 - $231,570.00
In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
