SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.

We're looking for a Senior Manager, SEM who will lead our efforts to better coordinate all aspects of SEM operations: planning and rollout of SEM campaigns and automatization of key workflows. This role will lead a continuous improvement program and devise the testing roadmap of our largest acquisition channels. You'll have a meaningful impact on our growth as a company. You'll assist in our strategy to capture and grow acquisitions through SEM, working with the finance, product, and data science teams to plan and execute the SEM program and hit performance targets. You'll report to our VP of Growth Marketing.

What you'll do
  • Help allocate budget based on business goals and real-time data inputs, improving the channel predictability and reactivity, and making sure our SEM investment and efforts are aligned with each event category, from Professional Sports to Theater and Concerts
  • Help teams (SEM, Engineering, Analytics, MOPs) prioritize their work in line with the business priorities, as informed by Growth leadership
  • More granularly, identify and drive near-term opportunities in line with our business priorities and in response to new data/learnings - new audiences, new languages, underinvested event categories etc.
  • Partner with analytics and engineering to drive longer term initiatives that could unlock large growth (e.g. lifetime value bidding with predictive models…)
  • Scale wins and learnings quickly by tightening the feedback loop between paid search strategy (account structure rebuild and bidding approach) and automation engineering
  • Accelerate collaboration between teams (e.g., SEM team and R&D) by embedding myself within each team’s workflows and leading discussion in public channels
  • Formulate a clear roadmap for the SEM program, with clear timelines as well as learning objectives for each team member
  • Stay abreast of any new ways of using SEM or even new search usages (e.g. AI Max; Open AI)
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement in the team and with SEM partners
What you have
  • 7+ years of working experience, with at least 2+ years in SEM specifically
  • 2+ years experience in people management
  • Analytical or scientific background, comfortable self servicing your reports and analyzing data directly
  • Adaptability: can adjust your ways of working as new tools & methods become available. The SEM team is in the middle of a complete revamp where ways of working are completely different than just a year ago
  • Creative problem solving: you love tackling complex problems, breaking down into actionable parts and explaining clearly the implications and the solutions
Perks
  • Equity stake
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Student loan support resources
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Up to $25k towards family building and reproductive health services
  • Gender-affirming care support program
  • $500 per year for wellness expenses
  • Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical
  • $120 per month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $180,000 USD. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
