We’re looking for a passionate and curious Senior Manager, Upstream Process Engineering, MTS to join our team. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Upstream Process Engineering team responsible for the lifecycle management of process equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of these systems for commercial GMP manufacturing operations. 
  • Develop and maintain user requirements, design specifications and functional specifications for Upstream related process equipment and process automation systems.  
  • Develop and maintain user requirements and engineering specifications for single use technology consumable components. Maintain single use assembly catalog. Support procurement activities for these  
  • Support Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV) and Computer System Validation (CSV) activities, including design reviews, FATs and SATs, cycle development, periodic review and commissioning and qualification testing activities.  
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including facility fit assessments, process risk assessments, recipe development and updating equipment configuration and automation recipes through the change control process. 
  • Support Upstream Manufacturing Technical Support (MTS) activities, including working with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process equipment and process automation systems in support of ongoing production activities, participate in deviation investigations, lead technical root cause analysis, and design/implement engineering studies.   
  • Coordinate with Just-Evotec Global Process Engineering team to participate to the development of improvements to manufacturing process and automation systems to improve process productivity, reduce costs, enhance quality and to achieve specific business objectives.  

Who You Are:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or related program with 8+ years relevant experience pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences or 6+ years of relevant experience with an MS.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong experience in lifecycle management of Upstream single-use technology systems used for biopharmaceutical manufacturing and process automation control system.
  • Experience implementing FDA CFR 21 Part 11 and EMA Annex 11 requirements for process automation systems.
  • Established record of success in leading GMP engineering teams, including successful completion of significant new-build/expansion projects. 
  • Experienced in leading troubleshooting activities, deviation investigations, change controls and CAPA implementation.
  • Motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills 
  • A curious problem-solver with a passion for learning and growing in a dynamic environment.
  • Someone who is not satisfied with “just good enough” and is always looking to improve, adapt, and innovate.
  • A natural collaborator who loves sharing ideas and learning from others.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $112,560 to $154,100;  Base salary offered may vary depending on the individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus, comprehensive benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, short-term and long-term disability, company paid basic life insurance, 401k company match, flexible work, generous paid time off and paid holiday, wellness and transportation benefits.
