We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team!

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager at Ultima Genomics, you will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing.  This position will be responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of new and on-market products, in line with the company’s strategic and revenue goals. This is a high-impact role that will require you to work cross-functionally across R&D and the commercial team with regular exposure to the C-suite. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the Life Sciences industry, preferably Genomics, and possess strong technical knowledge as well as downstream marketing. They will be the primary driver for developing omnichannel strategies that include ideation and execution of marketing campaigns, marketing and web assets, and driving our events strategies.

This position provides an opportunity to develop impactful marketing content, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive brand visibility through strategic campaigns, product launches, and industry events.

How You'll Contribute

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will own and lead the following:

  • Omnichannel strategies: Support the planning, production, and implementation of marketing activities per the strategic plan to support on-market and new products. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain relevant and forward-looking marketing strategies
    • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns for on-market and new products, monitoring key performance metrics to assess their effectiveness in achieving strategic objectives
    • Manage lead generation methods, including webinars, email marketing, social media, website content optimization, blog writing and digital ad placements
    • Support tradeshow attendance by developing show strategy and executing on key deliverables, including the generation of presentations, landing pages, handouts, social, and outreach emails
  • Marketing Collateral: Develop content for product positioning, including brochures, web landing pages. Share ownership and production of marketing materials and sales enablement tools with product managers including video scripts, infographics, advertisements, emails
  • Technology Proficiency: Leverage marketing tools and software, including CRM systems (e.g. SFDC), marketing automation platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Marketo), website (Sanity), analytics tools, content management systems, and social media (e.g. Hootsuite) to effectively segment customers, personalize marketing efforts, and optimize engagement and retention rates
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D and commercial team to ensure marketing efforts are in alignment with company objectives

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • BS degree is required. Must have at least 8+ years of Life Science/Biotech industry, particularly NGS or related genomic marketing experience strongly preferred. Advanced degrees are highly desirable
  • Deep experience in omnichannel marketing and building effective communication strategies
  • Proficiency in marketing automation/CRM tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Marketo, Salesforce) and web CMS (Sanity)
  • The ability to multitask, be able to work at a high standard, perform consistently under pressure along with pre-determined deadlines and work without supervision
  • Creative thinker, exceptional storyteller and communicator  
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of influencing cross-functional teams, including interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% and to HQ at least once per quarter

This position is remote but the ideal candidate will preferably be located on the west coast.

At Ultima Genomics, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $115,000 and $160,000, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.  Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.  This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
