Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Microsoft Data Engineer to design and deliver modern data platform solutions
for their Microsoft engineering projects. The right candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in cloud data architecture, lakehouse platforms, and scalable data pipelines. This person thrives as a problem solver, mentor, and team player with the ability to operate independently, translate architecture into production-ready solutions, and contribute to a growing consultancy with a path toward partnership.
Location: Only LATAM - 100% Remote.
Working hours are based on the US Central–Eastern Time Zone.

Role Experience and Soft Skills
- 10+ years of consulting experience delivering data and analytics solutions
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar platforms
- Ability to work through ambiguity and independently deliver scalable solutions
- Full lifecycle experience (architecture, build, deployment, support) in Agile/CI-CD environments
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience working across data science, analytics, and business teams
- Ability to support both reporting and advanced analytics use cases
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership
- Commitment to documentation and creation of reusable patterns
- Required Technical Experience
Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or equivalent lakehouse platforms - Spark-based processing (PySpark / Spark SQL)
- Cloud data pipelines (Fabric Pipelines, ADF, or similar tools)
- Azure ML pipelines or integration with ML workflows
- Python or R, plus strong SQL expertise
- Lakehouse design (medallion architecture, performance optimization)
- Power BI and reporting enablement
- CI/CD, deployment automation, and DevOps practices
- Data governance, security, and quality frameworks
- Monitoring and support of production data systems
Preferred Certifications:
- Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
- Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700)
- Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
- Databricks or Spark certifications
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable data platforms, pipelines, and lakehouse solutions
- Translate architecture into production-ready implementations independently
- Enable data science and reporting teams with high-quality, reliable data
- Implement automation, CI/CD, and governance best practices
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production environments
- Lead requirements gathering and managing delivery end-to-end
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to growth
- Support sales efforts and help define reusable delivery patterns
