The Crown Is Yours
We're looking for a Senior Android Release Engineer to lead our frequent android releases- ensuring every build is stable, secure and seamlessly delivered. You will be at the intersection of automation, reliability, and mobile engineering, helping us shape how millions of users experience our apps. You'll play a critical role in streamlining our CI/CD pipelines, enhancing observability, and ensuring seamless, high-quality app releases.
What you'll do
  • Manage and optimize Android build infrastructure, ensuring reliable, modular and scalable builds.
  • Own and evolve our Android CI/CD pipelines powered by Jenkins and Bitbucket. Integrate tools like SonarQube to uphold code quality, and drive continuous integration with robust unit and UI test coverage.
  • Champion trunk-based development practices integrated with JIRA and Git workflows. Automate common engineering tasks to enable fast feedback cycles, clean merges, and frequent, safe releases.
  • Lead the entire Android release lifecycle-from coordinating App Store approvals to managing phased rollouts and feature flag configurations. Own the stability and success of every production launch.
  • Implement and maintain real-time dashboards, alerting systems, and diagnostics using tools like Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, and others to ensure post-release health and visibility.
  • Collaborate with iOS counterparts to align release schedules, monitoring strategies, and feature flag gating-ensuring consistency across platforms.

What you'll bring
  • 4+ years of experience building, automating and releasing android applications at scale.
  • Expert level knowledge of android build tools and systems, including Android Studio and Gradle.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, code quality and test automation.
  • Proven track record leading end to end Android releases, including Play Store processes, phased rollouts and incident response.
  • Familiarity with feature flagging platforms and mobile observability tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a passion for driving process improvements across engineering, QA and product.
