Role summary
You will design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructures across multiple customer environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities to deliver reliable networking solutions and proactive support.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage customer network environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless systems.
- Design and optimize routing topologies (SD-WAN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRFs).
- Design and manage switching environments (VLANs, trunking, EtherChannels, Spanning Tree, DHCP Snooping, ARP inspection).
- Provide incident response, firewall and VPN administration, and troubleshooting.
- Perform proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Conduct security monitoring and implement network security best practices.
- Create and maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and deliver solutions.
- Manage tasks and incidents through ticketing systems.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices.
Requirements – Must-haves
- 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies across Cisco, Aruba, Arista, and similar platforms.
- Advanced experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Strong knowledge of wireless networking (controllers, access points, enterprise WiFi).
- Experience with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, etc.).
- Experience supporting enterprise environments with fiber and wireless technologies.
- Ability to design, document, and explain network architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills under time constraints.
- Experience working with ticketing systems and customer support environments.
- CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-haves (optional)
- Experience with SD-WAN implementations.
- Experience in managed service provider (MSP) environments.
- Additional certifications in Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, or Arista technologies.
- Experience optimizing large-scale enterprise or campus networks.
