We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Austin-based team. Your focus will be on expert-level troubleshooting across complex, distributed network environments. You’ll play a critical role in diagnosing and resolving issues that impact performance, stability, and security - ensuring seamless connectivity across our global infrastructure. In addition to troubleshooting, you’ll contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our network systems, supporting business growth and operational excellence.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting across LAN/WAN/WLAN/cloud environments to resolve performance and stability issues. 
  • Monitor and diagnose network health using on-prem and cloud-based tools. 
  • Design and implement secure, standardized network systems aligned with best practices. 
  • Continuously assess and optimize network performance, security, and reliability. 
  • Collaborate with network leadership to shape global architecture and strategic direction. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation including system diagrams and operational procedures. 
  • Administer and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN appliances. 
  • Partner with Information Security to ensure compliance and protect company assets. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years in senior network engineering roles within globally distributed environments, including hands-on experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Must carry 1 of the following certifications; CCNP, JNCIP-Junos, or equivalent. 
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues and implementing solutions. 
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IPSec, and enterprise-grade networking hardware. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects from design through implementation. 
  • Experience designing and supporting LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure. 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, Splunk). 
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, shell scripting). 
  • Understanding of enterprise network architecture and data center connectivity. 
  • Proficiency in firewall engineering and SD-WAN design and management.
