We are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer (Data & Network) to support the performance, security, and reliability of a large-scale Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) system.
This role is hands-on and mission-critical—focused on network monitoring, system performance, server optimization, and security compliance across enterprise environments supporting healthcare operations.
You’ll work across both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring system stability, identifying anomalies, and maintaining compliance with federal security standards.
Key Responsibilities🔍 Network & System Monitoring- Analyze LAN/WAN traffic across enterprise environments to detect anomalies and performance issues
- Generate performance reports (bandwidth, latency, application behavior) using tools like NetScout
- Monitor and validate encryption of network traffic and system communications
- Validate and monitor Windows and Linux system logs
- Oversee system upgrades, patching, and configuration validation (Windows Server & Red Hat Linux)
- Troubleshoot and optimize server performance across environments
- Optimize NIC teaming and network redundancy configurations
- Analyze and maintain Windows Clustering for high availability
- Ensure SAN-connected systems are configured with Multipath IO for redundancy and performance
- Support vulnerability management (Nessus scans, POA&M updates)
- Ensure systems meet ATO/ATC requirements and federal security standards
- Implement and validate STIG-based hardening across physical and virtual systems
- Validate authentication integrations (e.g., Centrify, PIV card access)
- Ensure systems are properly integrated into monitoring tools (SCOM, SolarWinds)
- Perform daily reviews of logs, alerts, and system health metrics
- Provide recommendations for optimization and risk mitigation

Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
- Strong experience with:
- Network traffic analysis (LAN/WAN environments)
- Windows Server (2012/2016+) and Red Hat Linux systems
- Enterprise monitoring tools (NetScout, SCOM, SolarWinds, or similar)
- Experience with:
- System patching, upgrades, and configuration management
- Server performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Security compliance frameworks (STIG, ATO, vulnerability management)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting EHR or large-scale healthcare systems
- Familiarity with:
- Windows Clustering & high availability environments
- SAN architecture & Multipath IO
- Centrify or similar authentication tools
- Experience supporting live system deployments and sustainment environments
- Prior experience in federal or regulated environments
