Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior (Level 4), or Principal (Level 5) 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Specialist (Experienced Safety & Airworthiness Specialist) to join our Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) organization. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level, Senior, and Principal 737 MAX Development Airworthiness and Regulatory Engineers. This position is in Renton, WA or Everett, WA.

Primary responsibilities:
- Provide ample visibility and actively work with functional and programmatic executive leadership of performance success, issues and procure leadership intervention when necessary.
- Implement process improvements drawing on cross functional expertise to innovate practical, sustainable solutions to increase engineering on time completion of corrective actions plans.
- Partners with enterprise groups to continuously improve our processes and tools to ensure we are ready for the future of BCA and to ensure these processes are consistent with the greater Boeing Enterprise.
- Coordinating the development of issue papers
- Assessing certification plans Developing certification approaches/strategies with the Federal Aviation Authorities (FAA), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and technical focal across the enterprise
- Assisting in the development of technical briefs for domestic and foreign regulators Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
- Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 5: 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects
- Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and process
- 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of experience working in a function or program
- Experience with project management and self-managing projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Experience in presenting data to customers, suppliers, and program and site leaders.
- Experience working with the compliance value stream.
- Systems thinker capable of proposing and implementation system improvements based on data analysis for long-term impacts.
- Experience developing material and presenting to multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
- Experience communicating verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences including Engineering Executive Leadership, Functional Discipline Focals, Compliance Investigation and Compliance Administration.
- Works autonomously in ambiguity.
- Knowledge of integration, verification, and certification processes
- Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
