Who We Want
We are looking for a "Hunter" who thrives on the road, excels at building relationships across multiple levels of client organizations, and understands how to translate complex operational capabilities into client value. We are seeking a high-energy, self-directed Outside Sales Representative to spearhead our market expansion. This role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and closing new business across multiple new business verticals. We are also looking for candidates who excel in collaborative environments. What You'll Do
- New Business Development: Identify and aggressively pursue new B2B opportunities within target verticals (e.g., CPG, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Retail).
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Lead the entire consultative process from initial prospecting and cold calling to on-site facility tours, proposal development, and final contract negotiation.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with internal Operations and Pricing teams to engineer scalable, profitable logistics solutions that solve specific customer pain points.
- Strategic Networking: Build and maintain a robust pipeline within our CRM, representing the brand at industry trade shows and networking events.
- Contract Negotiation: Navigate complex, multi-year contract cycles, ensuring terms align with both customer needs and company profitability.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes (Incoterms, customs, etc.) to act as a trusted advisor to prospects.
- Issue Resolution: Excels in high-stakes conflict resolution, proactively identifying and neutralizing service gaps before they impact the client’s bottom line.
- Travel: Requires frequent travel for on-site client meetings, facility tours, events, etc.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of proven success within the 3PL industry
- The "Hunter" Mentality: A track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales quotas and a high tolerance for the "No's" that lead to a "Yes."
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools and an understanding of TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to pivot between "shop floor" conversations and "boardroom" presentations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
