## Senior Palo Alto Networks Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Palo Alto Networks Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of Palo Alto Networks security solutions across our enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama management system, GlobalProtect VPN, and other related security solutions
- Develop and implement security policies, rules, and objects to ensure optimal network protection and performance
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, security events, and logs to identify and mitigate potential threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Palo Alto Networks solutions with other security tools and infrastructure components
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
- Participate in project planning, implementation, and documentation efforts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Palo Alto Networks technologies, best practices, and security trends
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Palo Alto Networks products and services
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and related technologies
- Proven expertise in network security principles, protocols, and best practices
- Strong understanding of network architectures, routing, and switching concepts
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCCNSE, PCCSA, PCNSE) are highly preferred
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud security solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud, Prisma Access)
- Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST)
- Zero Trust Architecture, Design, and Deployment Experience
