We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Senior Paralegal, Commercial & Operations to support Owlet’s Legal team. This role will lead and manage the company’s internal contract processes and workflows, from intake through execution, and serve as the primary administrator of our contract management platform. This role will also support the Legal team in other areas as needed, including intellectual property, litigation, corporate governance, insurance, privacy, compliance, or marketing review. The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting and negotiation skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Owlet’s internal contract lifecycle: intake, drafting, review, negotiation, approval, and signature through Ironclad.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, service, nondisclosure, consulting, and marketing agreements.
  • Manage, update, and optimize Owlet’s Ironclad platform, including templates, workflows, approval processes, and playbooks.
  • Maintain and update Owlet’s agreement templates, clause library, and contract playbooks to reflect current business and legal standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams and analyze existing agreements to provide clear, timely, and business-minded legal support.
  • Support the Legal team in other areas as needed.
  • Assist with tracking, reporting, and maintaining legal department processes, documentation, and best practices.
  • Partner with Legal leadership to develop processes that scale and support Owlet’s growth.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate or equivalent training strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of legal experience, including prior law firm experience and substantial in-house exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Proficiency with contract management platforms (prior experience with Ironclad or willingness to become an expert is required).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong business judgment and willingness to handle a variety of tasks- no job too small mindset.
  • Familiarity with any of the following is not required but a plus: intellectual property, litigation, insurance, securities, privacy, healthcare compliance, marketing asset review, or medical device regulation.
