SeekOut transforms how companies build winning teams by empowering organizations to align talent strategy with business strategy via breakthrough agentic AI solutions. Our software and services help companies ensure that they hire the right people and match their talent to the highest-impact roles to drive business success.

What are we looking to add to our team?
We’re looking for a Senior Principal Product Designer with deep experience in AI, SaaS, and startups—someone who thrives in ambiguity and brings design excellence, product intuition, and executive presence. You’re a natural collaborator who can influence senior leaders, connect user needs to business outcomes, and mentor designers and peers to elevate design thinking and craft across the organization.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Invent the future of AI recruiting. Deliver best-in-class user experiences for precedent-setting AI/ML features—often designing for problems with no existing playbook—and ensure they align with measurable product adoption and customer success.
  • Drive a bold 0→1 design vision. Define and communicate UX strategy across SeekOut’s product line, working directly with the Head of Product to set direction, connect long-term vision to immediate priorities, and ensure design is central to our roadmap.
  • Collaborate with leadership. Work closely with C-suite and senior partners in Product and Engineering to influence strategy, share design perspectives, and bring clarity to complex decisions.
  • Mentor and elevate others. Provide hands-on feedback, share frameworks, and model best practices to help other designers grow in their craft and confidence. Serve as a trusted partner to Product and Engineering peers, helping the broader team develop stronger user empathy and design intuition.
  • Tell the story. Use compelling narratives, prototypes, and design artifacts to illustrate the “why” behind your work and align internal stakeholders and customers around a shared vision.
  • Make it real. Translate high-level concepts into polished, high-craft design deliverables that guide cross-functional execution and deliver tangible results.
  • Raise the bar. Shape and evolve design systems, workflows, and standards that support fast iteration without compromising quality.
  • Stay curious. Keep up with the rapid evolution of AI, UX, and recruiting trends, and bring new insights that keep our products modern, trusted, and human-centered.
What you’ll accomplish in your first 6–12 months:
  • Establish a clear design direction and secure alignment with executive stakeholders.
  • Improve cross-functional processes that strengthen collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering.
  • Deliver 0→1 designs for net-new AI recruiting and talent optimization products.
  • Build momentum in the design org by mentoring and raising the quality bar across projects.
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, shipping impactful enterprise or AI-driven software.
  • Proven success delivering 0→1 features or products in a fast-paced startup or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Depth in enterprise UX and AI/ML interaction design, ideally within B2B or talent-focused applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence product direction across disciplines and levels.
  • A passion for mentorship and peer development—helping others grow through critique, pairing, and shared process.
  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to present and persuade executives and cross-functional teams.
  • A bias toward iteration and clarity, with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • A design portfolio that demonstrates both creative vision and real-world business impact.

A design portfolio is a requirement to be considered for this role.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
