ArcTouch is a specialty studio that is part of the award-winning AKQA Group.

If you're passionate about building lovable products, we want you to join us!

Meet the design team

As a Product Designer at ArcTouch, you'll be able to design great user experiences and engaging interfaces for various platforms (iOS and Android apps, web projects, and many others!). Explore every form of interaction from touchscreens to voice command, chatbots, VR and AR. All of this for international digital products that are used by millions of users every day.

Working with us, you’ll get the chance to collaborate with a skilled, fast-paced and innovative team on various projects. You will contribute to different phases of the design process, from discovery to delivery, sharing your knowledge with others and boosting your understanding of various types of business.

We encourage collaboration through creativity, so we value good communication skills and teamwork, from defining requirements with product managers to working close to developers to ensure pixel-perfect execution of design deliverables.

On a typical day with us, you will:
  • Lead and/or participate in group ideation and collaborative design sessions, providing design critiques and support to your colleagues.
  • Plan research for new projects, and collect and interpret data for design audits.
  • Create mockups, concepts and prototypes for client testing and approval.
  • Articulate design rationale effectively to both internal and external audiences.
  • Keep up to date with the latest design and technology trends for various platforms.
  • Create the right documentation for handoff, ranging from a sketch on a whiteboard to an annotated mockup (or detailed UI specifications and assets) for developers to implement.
  • Collaborate with Accessibility experts on making our UX/UI deliverables inclusive for all users.
  • Learn and share knowledge with your peers during our internal team meetings and ceremonies.
  • Participate in the hiring process by supporting portfolio reviews and doing technical interviews, helping the company to hire more talented people like you.
Role expectations:
  • Communicate the design rationales clearly and actively in English, being able to adapt the communication to internal or external stakeholders. Conduct presentations and answer questions from various audiences.
  • Use your UX/UI skills to drive, visualize and execute creative multi-platform experiences from initial concept to delivery, collaborating with engineers on implementation when required.
  • Have a strong strategic thinking approach, being capable of envisioning the lifecycle of their projects and connect design decisions with business needs.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability of our projects.
  • Work cooperatively, and communicate early and often to handle multiple projects with flexibility to change focus quickly.
  • Use your knowledge of leading design applications such as Figma for generating design deliverables.
  • Engage actively with hardware and software advancements, getting “out of the box” and suggesting new applications to our business and clients.
  • Proactively reach out to share knowledge and contribute with teammates, collaborating to evangelize design within ArcTouch.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
